Pelatihan Implementasi MYOB pada Pencatatan Buku Kas Kecil untuk Penguatan Kompetensi Administrasi Keuangan Digital di SMK Bina Cipta Palembang

Abstract

 Digital transformation in administration and finance requires vocational education graduates to possess competencies in utilizing accounting software to meet the demands of the business and industrial sectors. However, the implementation of accounting software in vocational learning remains limited. This community service program aimed to strengthen digital financial administration learning through training on the implementation of MYOB for petty cash recording for Grade XI Accounting students of SMK Bina Cipta Palembang. The program employed a participatory approach consisting of needs assessment, coordination with the partner school, preparation of training materials, hands-on training, case-based practice, mentoring, and activity evaluation. The training covered MYOB introduction, petty cash account setup, expenditure and receipt recording, petty cash reconciliation, and financial report preparation using MYOB. The program involved 33 students, and all planned activities were successfully implemented. The practice-based learning approach provided contextual learning experiences by enabling participants to apply accounting concepts through case-based exercises using MYOB. Furthermore, the program strengthened collaboration between higher education institutions and vocational schools in supporting digital financial administration learning. This community service program is expected to serve as an alternative practice-based training model for enhancing digital financial administration competencies in vocational education.
