Workshop Generasi Zilenial Bijak Mengelola Keuangan dalam Menghadapi Tantangan Finansial dan Waspada Aktivitas Keuangan Ilegal

Abstract

The development of digital technology and easy access to financial services presents both opportunities and challenges for the millennial generation in managing their finances. Low financial literacy, high levels of consumer behavior, and the rise of illegal financial activities such as fraudulent investments and illegal online loans are issues that require attention. This community service activity aims to increase the understanding and awareness of the millennial generation regarding the importance of wise financial management and awareness of various illegal financial activities in the digital age. The activity was implemented through an educational and interactive workshop that included material delivery, discussions, case studies, personal budgeting simulations, and a question-and-answer session. The material covered financial planning, income and expense management, safe savings and investment strategies, controlling consumer behavior, and recognizing the characteristics of illegal financial activities. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of financial literacy and awareness of the risks of illegal financial activities. Participants understood the importance of developing a financial plan, prioritizing needs, and being more cautious about offers of investments and financial services that lack legal standing. The participants' enthusiasm in participating in the discussions and financial management practices demonstrated that the workshop was effective and provided positive benefits. Through this activity, it is hoped that the millennial generation will become more intelligent, independent, and responsible in managing their finances, enabling them to face the financial challenges of the digital age more wisely and safely.
