Abstract

This study aims to improve teachers’ competence in utilizing technology-based learning media by implementing interactive multimedia features through Microsoft PowerPoint. The innovation lies in incorporating educational games, such as quiz-based assessments and image-guessing activities, designed to make the teaching and learning process more engaging and student-centered. The training was conducted at MTsN 1 Musi Banyuasin and involved teachers from multiple subject areas, including science, mathematics, and social studies. During the training, participants were guided in designing and presenting learning materials using PowerPoint’s animation, hyperlink, and trigger features to build interactivity. The findings showed that PowerPoint can serve as an effective tool for creating dynamic classroom experiences, improving both student motivation and attention. Additionally, teachers demonstrated increased confidence and enthusiasm in applying these new methods in their teaching practices. The integration of interactive multimedia in the classroom not only supports active learning but also enhances digital literacy among educators. This research emphasizes the value of ongoing professional development and the practical application of user-friendly technology in education. It is recommended that similar training be conducted regularly to ensure that teachers remain updated with modern teaching strategies. In conclusion, PowerPoint can be a powerful medium to foster creativity and improve the quality of learning in schools.
