Abstract

The integration of technology into learning activities continues to expand, particularly through the use of interactive media that foster greater student engagement. This study focuses on the development of an interactive quiz game designed with Microsoft PowerPoint and extended into a web-based application. The development process applied the prototyping method, which emphasizes iterative interactions between designers and users to produce a solution aligned with actual learning needs. The stages included needs analysis, initial design, limited testing, and continuous refinement. To evaluate its effectiveness, the media was tested by comparing students’ pre-test and post-test scores. The quantitative results revealed a t-value of -2.952 with a significance level of 0.010 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant improvement in learning outcomes. These findings confirm that interactive quizzes enhance both student motivation and teacher efficiency in conducting assessments. In practical terms, the web-based application serves as a continuation of the PowerPoint quiz, enabling faster and more accurate score reporting. This research highlights how a simple yet structured prototyping approach can improve learning effectiveness, create enjoyable learning experiences, and provide relevant tools that can be applied at the secondary education level.
